The development of DayCape is grounded in comprehensive research, including interviews and user testing conducted with families of autistic children, educational institutions providing specialized care, and other support organizations.

The DayCape team is small but dedicated to fostering positive change for children with special needs, in collaboration with the children's rights organization Reach for Change. Feedback and suggestions for enhancing the application’s support features are welcomed from users.

DayCape provides complimentary access for children, while offering subscription features for parents and teachers aimed at facilitating planning. Specifically:

• The parent subscription allows planning for up to three children and includes invitations for additional supporters in the planning process.
• The school subscription accommodates planning for up to 15 students, inviting participation from both teachers and parents.

The application offers a 30-day free trial for parents and teachers upon account creation, eliminating the requirement for an immediate subscription. Post-trial, a subscription is necessary to maintain access to the parent and teacher features. Subscription charges will initiate monthly following user confirmation of commencement.

• Payments are charged to the iTunes Account upon purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless deactivated at least 24 hours prior to the period's end.
• Renewal charges will occur within 24 hours before the current period concludes, with notification of renewal costs provided.
• Users may manage subscriptions and deactivate auto-renewal through their Account Settings after purchase has been made.
